Here it finally is! Idk, I just really like writing and reading Mafia!AUs so, this is what I ended up with cx

Genre: Fluff | Slight angst | Mafia!AU (I just really like reading + writing Mafia!Bangtan cx)

Word count: 895

Warnings: I don’t think there are any…?

#34 (I think): “It’s been two years.”

Two years.

Two years since the fateful day you disappeared without a trace.

Two years since your home had been left empty, broken shards on the ground, framed picture of the two of you smashed and discarded carelessly, like it meant nothing. Like you meant nothing.

Namjoon was angry. Scratch that, he was infuriated to a level he’d never reached before, the intense fire in his eyes causing even his strongest men to cower in fear, avoiding his gaze as best as they could. Never had they seen th eir leader so angry, the murderous glint in his eye prevalent now more than ever before.

He was determined to find those who took you, snatched you away from your life, your family, from him. He was determined to find them, and teach them a lesson they wouldn’t ever forget for as long as they lived. That is, if they lived.

An intense search mission ensued from that day, and for months on end, Namjoon sent out his men to find clues, to find you, to find where they had taken you. Namjoon himself took some of his best men, his right hand man Yoongi by his side, and forced his way into your empty, cold apartment. The immediate sight of your ransacked home did nothing to calm him; rather it caused him to ball up his fists in fury, charging through as he tried to find anything that could point to where you were.

Namjoon was a smart man. His complicated plans and strategies couldn’t be beaten, he always planned them right to the tiniest details. And yet, he ha d been outsmarted. His intellect didn’t help him now; he was too blinded by fury and sadness and frustration.

Kneeling down, he carefully picked the framed picture of the floor, the glass jagged and broken into many pieces. He stared at the picture; you, mid way in a laugh, your eyes twinkling as they always did when you were genuinely happy, and him holding you tightly around your waist. His dimples were indented so far into his cheeks, his lips stretched so wide. In that moment, you thought no one could hurt you. With Namjoon by your side, the two of you could do anything. And yet, he hadn’t seen this coming.

Two years had passed.

He had given up hope.

Endless times he stood alone by the expansive windows, staring out into nothingness, tears slowly trailing down his cheeks, as he thought of you. Thought of the state you were in. Were you even still alive? Still breathing? Who knew? Who knew what had happened to you, what those people had done to y ou?

It was another day, another day of Namjoon drifting off, Seokjin having to nudge him to pay attention. They were sitting around a table in a dark room, discussing plans for a new heist. Namjoon had been so absorbed in his own mind, his own thoughts until one of his men burst through the open doorway, panting heavily, eyes frantic.

“Leader, it’s (Y/N). She’s alive.” Jungkook just managed to make out, clutching his side.

Namjoon immediately shot out of his seat, his attention now completely focused on the young man in front of him. His expression held a deadly seriousness, one that said if this is a joke, you’re dead.

“Take me to her. Now.

Jungkook bowed quickly before scrambling out of the room again, Namjoon following closely behind him along with Yoongi and Jin who were exchanging worried looks.

Jungkook lead them out to the main lobby of the building, and the sight that met Namjoon&rsquo ;s eyes igniting so many different emotions in him.

Jimin and Taehyung were supporting your weak figure, bruises dotted along your legs and arms, a clear blackness rimmed around your right eye. You struggled to even stand upright, and yet as soon as you spotted Namjoon there, a softness in his eyes that you’d longed to see again, your body lurched forward, trying to go to him.

Namjoon immediately ran towards you, dropping to his knees, and cradling you there and then. Tears began to spill from his eyes again, as he held you, careful not to hurt your damaged body, the other boys looking down solemnly.

“It’s been two years.” Namjoon finally said, his eyes frantically scanning you, his heart clenching at the clear injuries you suffered.

“I know, Namjoon, I know. Not a day passed where I didn’t think of you, when I didn’t count another day, always hopeful that I’d see you again,” you choked out in a raspy voice, your arms draped around his shoulders weakly.

“I missed you so much, (Y/N), it was so painful for me, wondering where you were, what you were going through. Tell me, who did this to you? I swear I’ll kill them.” Namjoon shook with anger, his nails digging into his palms.

You opened your mouth to speak, but another wave of pain washed over you, and you groaned, scrunching your eyes up tight.

“You’ll be okay, (Y/N), I’m here now. You came back to me, and I swear I will never let this happen to you again,” Namjoon promised, signalling at the boys to help carry you, Seokjin nodding back, rushing off to their small medic room.

“I know Namjoon. I love you.” You mouthed back, a weak smile as you were carried off.
